The Choreoturge (a field trip)
Performance by Martin Nachbar and Jeroen Peeters, 2016

Is it possible to ‘reforest’ the theatre? The Choreoturge (a field trip) is a foray into real and imagined spaces fabulated through sound, movement and speech. It starts as a guided tour in an exhibition of collages that were made during the rehearsal process, incorporating newspaper clippings as well as texts and images from fiction and philosophy. When the white cube is transformed into a studio and then into a black box, The Choreoturge becomes an audio-play (using the collages as scores) interspersed with dances, inviting the audience’s imagination to wander into an environment where biodiversity is rich and the fable alive.
